This heavy-duty 1/4" trailer safety chain has a length of 36" and includes a forged clevis hook. The safety chain features a 12,600lb breaking strength rating, a grade 70 rating, and a chain thickness of 1/4", making this chain perfect for towing heavy boat, cargo, utility, and RV trailers. The safety chain is zinc-plated so it will be able to withstand corrosion, making it a perfect option for boat trailers but it works great on any heavy-duty trailer that you need to secure with high-quality safety chains. The hook-less link portion of the chain is either bolted or welded directly to the trailer, and the clevis hook will securely attach to your truck's tow hitch. Having safety chains in good working condition is imperative for any trailer; they are legally required and can prevent a bad situation from becoming a disastrous situation! Each chain should be rated at or above the total weight of your loaded trailer, and you will generally use at least a pair when towing.
