This 1/2" diameter drive-in wheel stud is zinc plated and is designed to replace wheel studs on 3,500 lb to 7,000 lb trailer hubs. This is a 2 1/4 inch length stud, commonly used on idler hubs, integral disc brake rotors, and drum hubs on boat trailers or utility trailers. If you have a missing or damaged stud on your trailer hubs you would simply hammer this new stud in place of the stud you are replacing and torque down the stud into the hub using and lug nut wrench to fully seat the stud into place. This stud can be used on trailers with disc or drum braking systems, or with idler hubs. You will use a standard 1/2" - 20 thread lug nut to reinstall your wheels to this 2 1/4 inch replacement. Make sure your wheels are rolling safely with all of your trailer hub studs in solid working condition, and pick up some of these 1/2" by 2 1/4" drive-in studs if you need a replacement!
