This 5 Bolt on 5 inch bolt pattern brake drum hub is generally used on light to medium duty land trailers like utility or cargo trailers in a drum brake system. This painted brake drum hub is compatible with 3,500 lb capacity axles with a #84 spindle, using a 1 3/8” x 1 1/16” bearing combination. This particular listing for this brake drum comes with bearings, seals, and a cotter key needed to fit the drum hub onto a 3,500 lb axle.
The kit includes inner bearing #68149 with an inner diameter of 1 3/8", outer bearing #44649 with inner diameter of 1 1/16", one zinc-plated cotter key to secure the castle nut once it has been properly installed, and one #84 spindle seal with an inner diameter 2.712”.
This 5 Bolt brake drum hub is painted black and is commonly seen on utility trailers with Electric Drum Brakes or on some Freshwater Boat Trailers with Hydraulic Drum Brakes. You would not usually see this type of braking system in saltwater. If you need to replace the other parts of your Trailer Brakes, like the Backing Plate, or Electric Cluster you can purchase those separately.
