This 5/8 inch steel drive-in stud fits heavy-duty trailer hubs, ideal for replacing missing or damaged wheel studs. You will commonly see this stud on 8 lug brake drum hubs or idler hubs on heavy-duty multi-axle trailers, and is used on grease-lubricated and oil bath hubs alike. The 2 7/8 inch length stud is made of heavy-duty hardened steel, so it can withstand the heavy-duty towing needed to complete the job! The stud is installed by hammering in the replacement stud in your hub's empty lug spot and then torqueing down the stud to your hub face with a wrench to fully seat the stud, allowing you to safely remount your trailer wheel. This heavy-duty 5/8 inch trailer wheel stud easily replaces compromised studs on your 8 lug trailer axle hubs, ensuring you have a safe and consistent ride!
