These 10 inch L Type Bunk Brackets are commonly replaced or newly installed in pairs, so we've made this discounted kit that comes with 2 Aluminum Brackets and the 2 Stainless Steel Mounting U Bolts (fits 3x3 cross member) to make it easier to replace all the bunk brackets on your trailer!

This product is a solid 10 inch Aluminum Heavy Duty L-Shaped Bunk Bracket. These Bunk Brackets measure 10 inches tall and 5 inches wide. The Holes you see on the longer section and foot section are 1/2 inch in diameter, to accommodate the included 1/2 inch U Bolts and a 1/2 inch bolt for securing your bunks (not included, you would need to choose the correct size bolt based on your trailer bunk boards). The thickness of these 10 inch Aluminum bunk brackets is 3/8 inch, a whole 1/8 inch thicker than the standard 1/4 inch aluminum L Brackets making them a better all around choice for reliability and support. The foot holes are designed specifically to be mounted on a 3 inch wide cross member.  This style bunk bracket is used to mount bunk boards vertically to support the hull of the boat. 

If you are deciding on these 10 inch L-Shape Aluminum Bunk Bracket you are either replacing existing rusted bunk brackets or switching the style of bunks on your boat trailer.

When replacing existing rusted L Shape bunk brackets of the same style and switching to this aluminum bunk bracket set, keep in mind you need to use equally durable hardware. It is very common to see Galvanized Bunk Brackets, when replaced, eat through the aluminum cross-member slightly, this also happens with the U-Bolts when galvanized U-Bolts are used on aluminum. This is why we've paired the Aluminum Brackets with Stainless Steel U Bolts instead of Galvanized, and that's also why this setup would work best mounted to aluminum cross members.  The bunk brackets are mounted to your trailers frame with the included U-Bolts. The Size of those U Bolts means that this kit can only be mounted to 3 inch Tall by 3 inch Wide Cross members or trailer frames.  If you have a different size cross member or frame it would be best to buy the brackets and the Boat Trailer U-Bolt individually so you can get the correct size needed for installation on your trailer.

In addition, you will need through bolts to re-mount your bunk boards. Check the length bolt you need. We have these available in both Stainless Steel and Zinc plated, you will need a 1/2 inch diameter bolt. Trailer Bolts.
