Most commonly 13 to 14 inch trailer tires are associated with tandem axle fenders on boat trailers. Also, keep in mind when replacing a fender, or adding fenders, additional hardware will be needed. For Example, you will need bolts to mount the fender to whatever brackets you will be using. We have Boat Trailer Fender Mounting Brackets available in many sizes. Check them out to figure out which will work for your installation. Some brackets may require using Boat Trailer U-Bolts and Boat Trailer Bolts to finish mounting the fender to the trailer frame.
When determining the length and height of fender, keep in mind the spacing between the two mounting points. Basically the distance between them is the shortest your fender can be in order to mount, unless you are planning on moving those brackets for a shorter fender. Also, be mindful of the height of your trailer fender in relation to your boat hull, it is important that you re-mount your new fender in nearly the exact same location if there is limited room for movement For instance, if you mount your fender to low, your tires may impact it when you hit a bump or backing down the ramp. If you mount them to high, you may risk damaging your boat hull if the hull impacts the fenders.
Most of our trailer fenders do not come with pre-drilled holes. You will need to drill holes in the correct location for mounting.
