Double Eye Leaf Spring

Below you will see that Double Eye Trailer Leaf Springs come in many lengths and carrying capacities. Certain Lengths are certainly more common on Boat Trailers Than others. However, it is important to get accurate measurements before purchasing a leaf spring for your Boat Trailer to ensure perfect replacement. These Double Eye Style Trailer Leaf Springs are common on both Single Axle and Tandem Axle Trailers. These are industry standard 1 3/4" Wide Trailer Leaf Springs. 

On a single axle trailer, you will notice that you also have two leaf spring shackles towards the rear of each spring. Take a look at these while doing this project to see if they need replacing. Also you will notice that their are 3 total Leaf Spring Bolts per side, in most cases these require being replaced at the same time.

On a tandem Axle trailer, you will notice that you have a triangle shaped equalizer bar between your springs. In addition, there will be 4 total Leaf Spring shackles attached to your equalizer bar. This would mean that on your entire set up, their are 2 equalizer bars, and 8 leaf spring shackles. Take a look at these components to see if they need replacing while you are doing your leaf spring project. Also, you will notice 7 Leaf Spring Bolts per side. This would make 14 total.
