This 32 inch Boat Trailer Winch Post is Hot Dipped Galvanized for Superior Corrosion Resistance. This Angled Winch Post requires three 1/2" Diameter U Bolts to be installed, and will fit a 3 inch wide trailer tongue.  If your current winch post has broken or begun to rust, this 2x4  Boat Trailer Winch Post could be the replacement you need!

Most Marine Trailer Winch Posts are either Straight or Angled, and are measured along the beam of the post.  This is an Angled Winch beam, which measures 32 inches long, and it is welded to its mounting plate for added strength and reliability. When looking for a new winch post online, it is generally best to try and find as close to an exact replacement as you can, so you can be sure that your boat and bow rest will line up in the same way as before once you've installed the replacement parts.

This Winch Post if a Winch Post only and does not include mounting U Bolts.  This is because there are multiple possible size trailer tongues that this post can install to, and those would require different sized U Bolts.  The most common 3 inch wide trailer tongues are 3" x 3", and 3" x 4".  For a 3x3 tongue the proper size U Bolts are 1/2" x 3 1/16" x 4 5/16".  For a 3x4 the proper U Bolt size is 1/2" x 3 1/16" x 5 5/16". 

A Winch Post alone is not enough to mount a winch to your trailer, typically there is a Winch Seat, or Winch Mount, installed to the post.  These 2 parts together are what form the mounting area for your winch.  If you are replacing your Winch Post, you may or may not need to replace the winch mount as well.  If you do, you can take a look at our Winch Seat Category here on our website and search for a similar or exact replacement for your marine trailer.

To install the 2 parts together and complete the winch mounting area of your trailer, you would need to be sure that the Winch Mount you select is capable of being mounted to a 2 inch wide beam, like the one used in this Winch Post.  Then, you would need the proper size U Bolts, and U Bolt Hardware (Usually a U Bolt Shackle) to install the two parts together.  Here is a link to our U Bolt Hardware Category.
